La Tour Eiffel - The Tenin Technique

Today City Daily Photobloggers around the world are helping Eric Tenin celebrate the 5th birthday of his Paris Daily Photo blog. As a result of Eric's inspiration, City Daily Photo was born and now hundreds of bloggers around the world post a photograph of their city each day. Eric gets all the credit for inspiring me to start my Birmingham blog and the rest is history! Eric is known for shooting at wacky angles or from ground level. Since I'm featuring another tower on my BADP today, I decided to salute him on this blog as well with le Tour j'adore! Joyeux Anniversaire Eric!

Well done on both counts, V! I too am one of the legions inspired by Eric to start blogging. Have to say that when I met him here in NYC, I was not at all surprised to find him both charming and interesting. Looking forward to seeing him next in Paris (like you)!

My goodness, the Tour looks like gold! A super shot and tribute, Virginia and again, I love that shot of Eric. I wonder if he realises how much he has done for all of us, our friendships, photography, blogging, totally changing our lives.

Indeed, a beautiful tribute to Paris and to Eric, Virginia! I've met some dear pals through PDP, so I'm ever-grateful to Eric, and ever-amazed by his five years of daily posting. That's generosity and dedication.

Wow, I'm impressed I must say. Not only you posted a nice note for "my" anniversary, but on top of that you managed to post a photo of that I like. And this, believe me, is really a challenge LOL!

Thanks again and see you next time you're in Paris ;-)

Ahha ... the more illustrious cousine, eh?

I wanted to see the low down and dirty shot, VJ. You know, scraped elbows and knees. That sort of thing!

Have a happy day, m'dear!

Eric,
It is my pleasure, but you already knew how I felt about this whole CDP thing! And of course I look forward to another Papal Audience with you in Paris next visit! :)

Dana,
Oui, you know it's really easy to make a Frenchman smile! HA

Julie,
I can get down for the low and dirty shots, it's getting back up that's hard!

Great picture of the tower and Eric, whom I haven't yet met. BTW, I just won a round-trip ticket on OpenSkies, a business-class-only airline that flies between Paris and New York (and now DC and Paris).

Starman,
And................you want me to have it right??? :)

I agree with ET Suzy -- perfect tribute! I also love your portrait of Eric -- using your amazing talents with people photos on the man who got you blogging! Well done indeed.

V, Looks like you've got the "Tenin Technique" perfected! Great post all the way around. I can only thank Eric for the delight I have in seeing your blog each day and as many of the others as I can take time to look at. Merci Virginia, Eric and the rest of the City Daily Photo group.
