This fun day in Paris, we all gathered at Les Cafe des Chats. Peter was a good sport. Today I'm late sharing my LAUGH photo, but wonderful memories of many laughs.

City Daily Photo Theme Day - GIFT
Today my City Daily Photoblog friends around the world are posting this month's theme, GIFT. For me, the gift of friendship is the perfect choice. I met Peter Olson, Peter's Paris, through blog friends before my second trip to Paris in November, 2008. He graciously shared his knowledge of Paris and a few bottles of champagne that trip and has continued to offer an incredible amount of time for me and my friends every single trip since. I dubbed him the MOST PATIENT MAN IN PARIS, years ago and he's held the title ever since. He is always willing to do whatever is on my "program" as he calls it, no matter how many times he's visited that place. He kindly stops and waits while I take an endless number of photos or just need a little rest for my back. We have shared many wonderful Paris memories, laughs and more glasses of champagne than we can remember. After every trip, I always remind him that he is indeed my best friend in Paris. Merci Peter, pour le cadeau de ton amitié.

These green chairs are calling my name. I'm looking forward to pulling one up and propping my feet on a fountain at Tuileries... or maybe Luxembourg Gardens... or most likely the Palais Royal with Peter and Mary. Paris, je t'aime!

Paris Windows
Rue de Crémieux
This day, Mary and I had walked what seemed half of Paris with Peter. I was almost done, but Peter offered Rue Crémieux, and I said I thought I could walk a few steps more. I love this little street. Worth the effort.

Deux amis
These two guys, Peter Olson on the left, and Owen Phillips on the right, admiring the wonderful art collection at the Musée Condé at the Chateau de Chantilly. I met them both via my Paris blog and we do love to get together whenever I pay a visit. I am very fortunate to call them my friends!

The Most Patient Man in Paris
Today let us all celebrate the anniversaire of our friend Peter Olson ( Peter's Paris). I've known Peter since 2008, and he and I have walked a million miles up and down and all over Paris. He's an incredible expert on all things Paris, despite the fact that he's a Swede! He is always generous with his expertise and time. I'm so grateful that he willing to wait while I take endless photographs, just like here in 2009. Merci mon ami, for your time, your patience, but most of all your friendship. My best friend in Paris.

Paris Jaune
This pool of water flows down from the outside of the Fondation Louis Vuitton to this lower level. Peter tried his best to talk someone, anyone in "charge", to allow us inside this area so I could get better photos but non. Regardless, I was happy with what I got through the glass walls. Merci Peter for always going the extra mile for my photography!

Salut!
Something for everyone at the Marché aux Puces. This array of champagne corks made me stop, smile, and appreciate all the many flutes I've had in Paris with friends. Merci Peter Olson, for providing them!

Peter's Paris
In 2008, my second trip to Paris, I connected with Paris blogger Peter Olson. Since then, I've been fortunate to spend many wonderful hours walking the streets of Paris with him. He's probably more knowledgeable than most Parisians, he's Swedish after all, and our journeys around Paris never disappoint. The City of Paris benefits from his expertise as a Paris Greeter. After 13 trips to Paris, Peter and I have walked many, many miles, explored numerous sites and of course enjoyed many laughs and glasses of champagne. I have called him "The Most Patient Man In Paris" and after years of photo walks, he still holds the title!
This photo of Peter is exactly like every walk we take. He's ahead, I'm behind. It's how we roll!

Le cimetière
It's no secret that I was not a fan of cemeteries until I started traveling with Mary Gilbert. Then, between Peter Olson and Owen Phillps, I became a convert. This trip Mary and I will be traveling with our friend Phil Nuxhall, Cincinnati's Spring Grove Cemetery historian. Taking odds on how many I"ll visit? Today, Cimetière du Père-Lachaise of course.

La fête nationale!
Forgive me for posting another photo from my 14,juillet, 2009 trip, but this was what I call, MY BEST NIGHT IN PARIS EVER! Shot from Pont Grenelle, with my dear friend Peter who chose this fabulous spot for photos. A Paris moment I will never forget. Vive la France!

One Of Paris' Best Kept Secrets
The commanding views of la Tour Eiffel from la Cité de l'Architecture et du Partrimoine stopped us in our tracks. Well worth the price of admission (8 euros). This is, in my opinion, one of Paris' best museums and might just need to go back on my list again.

Wisteria
As always, I thank Peter for taking me to an area of Paris I might never have found. Butte- aux -Cailles offers a charming look at an area of Paris many have not visited. I loved the townhouse flats. Butte aux Cailles is now one of my favorite photo haunts!

Bon Fête de Nationale!
14 juillet, 2009 I stood on a bridge with my friend Peter Olson and took this shot ( a LOT of shots). I think this evening must take the "MY BEST PARIS MOMENT" award for all time. Merci Peter for planning this so that I could share this wonderful event with you and all of Paris from the perfect vantage point!
