 As always, I thank Peter for taking me to an area of Paris I might never have found. Butte- aux -Cailles offers a charming look at an area of Paris many have not visited. I loved the townhouse flats. Butte aux Cailles is now one of my favorite photo haunts!

The Butte aux Cailles neighborhoods are a charming change from what one expects to see in Paris. The wisteria is rampant. Vive la France!

La vie en rose

If you've never strolled the small streets of Butte aux Cailles in the 13th arrondissement, you really should put it on your list. It is most charming and many of the homes are more like townhouses with small gated front entrances.  The flowers and vines are climbing over the fences, gates and lanterns with wild abandon.  I posted another lovely doorway here.
