Les feuilles mortes

We're visiting Paris a bit later this year in early December. I'll miss the glorious fall leaves but have so many images to remember.

Even the vines in Paris love the lanterns.

L'escalier

Novembre in Paris is almost as lush as summer months. We pushed open some doors to find this lovely.

Le croix

My obsession with Parisian vines continues from one trip to the next. The Marais is an especially fertile area for magnificent vines!

Paris Rouge - Serge Ferrai

The showroom for Serge Ferrari is located on a charming cobblestoned courtyard, from the 16th century, in the Cour du Bel Air, in the 12th. The dripping vines made it all the more charming.

Le chaise et les feuilles

We spent a lovely morning at the Marché aux Puces. The stalls were dripping with my favorite Boston ivy vines. This is a place where you can wander for hours. Lots of beautiful antiques and linens and quite a bit of memorabilia and "stuff"! I'd recommend taking a taxi or Uber here.

Les portal avec la plante grimpante

beautiful vines crawl and climb all over Paris. In the fall, they are spectacular. I expect some of my French experts will question my translation, but Monsieur Google says this is the term for a creeping vine. I welcome your thoughts.

Le pigeon

This pigeon was standing guard at the Musée Carnavalet in the Marais, on chilly January day. This is the history of Paris museum and is free to the public except for special exhibits.

Paris Rouge - les feuilles

Along the Seine, just behind Notre Dame, the vines add seasonal color. J'adore novembre in Paris

La Croix

Forgive me if I repeat myself,  but I really think Novembre might just be the best time to visit Paris. The vines, which we call Virginia Creeper here in the south, had turned such glorious colors that we found ourselves swooning over every courtyard. Could you blame us?

Automne à Paris - La grille

Our last day in Paris we spent wandering the Marais. More fabulous vines.
