Morning in Butte aux Cailles

 Often overlooked, Butte aux Cailles , located in the SE part of Paris in the 13th, is a charming neighborhood to wander up and down their cobblestone streets.

I always love capturing Parisians enjoying a book whether it's in the Métro, on a park bench,  or of course, a Paris café.

I think Mary and I agree that finding a Métro with an escalator is a fine day in Paris! Our friend Peter Olson, is able to climb Métro stairs all day long.

I'm certain, after all these trips, that I will never tire of Paris windows and flowers. And lanterns. And shutters....

La neige

It snowed last week in Paris, just a week after I came home. I'll admit being a bit miffed with l'homme de la météo! I do still have a small collection of photos of la neige from January 2010 to remind me of  how even more beautiful Paris is after a snowfall.

Sometimes I marvel that when I see an image, I know exactly what trip and where I was. This lovely door was just a few blocks from Place des Vosges, June 2010.

Sometimes while walking as fast as I can,  in order to keep up with my speedy amis, I snap a quick photo, then when I return home and have a look, I have no idea. Today is one of those funny captures with no additional info. Je suis désolé.
