Paris rouge, rouge, et plus rouge

Where, you ask? Cité de l'architecture et du Patrimoine. This museum is one of the best kept secrets in Paris. I love it.

City Daily Photo Theme Day - TEACH

It seems wherever we go in Paris, we find groups of students ton field trips around the city. It must be marvelous to have the unlimited cultural opportunities that Paris offers! This lucky class was touring one of my very favorite museums, Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine. If you have not discovered this jewel, put it on your list for your next trip.

Today, I join City Daily Photobloggers around the world posting their choice for this month's theme.

Musée avec vue

In my opinion, one of the best kept secrets in Paris is Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine  (architecture and monument museum). Located near the Palais de Chaillot, it's most convenient when visiting la Tour Eiffel. As you can see, this museum offers commanding views but it is without a doubt a must see on your next visit.

One of My Top Finds

I love being asked to help friends, and friends of friends plan their trips to Paris. I'm no travel agent by any means, but I do have a VERY LONG list of to dos. When asked about museums I always offer this one, Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine ( Architecture Museum, it's easier). Located near Palais de Chaillot, it's a must see. After,  have a coffee or glass of wine on the terrasse overlooking the Seine and Eiffel Tower! You'll thank me for this one.

La Vue

A little quiz for my very sharp blog readers. Where was this taken?
Update: We had one reader who was close. Indeed this is close to Trocadero, but actually it was taken from Cité d'Architecture et du Patrimoine

The Best Kept Secret in Paris

I have found that the city of Paris' Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine, is rarely on the To Do Lists of my friends visiting Paris. This is one of the most beautiful museums and can easily be added to your itinerary when you are at the Palais de Chaillot at Place du Trocadéro. It also offers commanding views of la Tour Eiffel from the expansive windows overlooking the Seine. The entrance fee is nominal and on free on the first Sunday of the month.

One Of Paris' Best Kept Secrets

The commanding views of la Tour Eiffel from la Cité de l'Architecture et du Partrimoine stopped us in our tracks.  Well worth the price of admission (8 euros). This is, in my opinion, one of Paris' best museums and might just need to go back on my list again.

Paris Rouge - Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine

There are a very few places in Paris that I think are off the beaten path. Why this fabulous museum ( that overlooks la Tour Eiffel) is still one of them, I have no idea.  Have you been?

Paris Rouge LXIII -Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine

Cite de l'Architecture et du Patrimone is what I think might just be Paris' best kept secret. Rarely do I find anyone who has visited, but I was awestruck the first time I stepped inside. It's the world's largest architecture museum. Located at Trocadero Palace et  de Chaillot, overlooking la Tour, it is not to be missed. Oh and have your coffee on the terrace. You get the same commanding view of la Tour for a fraction of the price.  You'll thank me for that!
