L'Opéra Bastille dans la nuit
I will be honest, this opera house at night is about as lovely as it gets. By day, the property is not well kept. I can't imagine why the City of Paris has let this structure fall into such a state.

Sunday Church Series - Église Saint Paul - Saint Louis
Église Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis in the Marais is always a church that I visit each and every trip.

Le plaisir du photographe
Boulevard Beaumarchais near the Bastille, is the place to browse for old and new cameras in Paris
...or maybe just a selfie! Keep in mind that if you are from the U.S., camera equipment and even memory cards and batteries will probably be much more expensive in Paris. I speak from experience!
I'm happy to be again joining James' Weeekend Reflections today.

Paris Rouge - Le Guitariste
I love the street musicians that pop up all over Paris. Note the Pont L'Archeveche behind him, covered in love locks. Not only are the locks now an eyesore but as you can see, irresponsible visitors have scratched their names on the old walls all along the Seine to further deface this beautiful city.

Channeling Vivian Maier
I"ve been a fan of Vivian Maier for quite a while. This last trip to Paris in November, Peter, Genie and I saw a small exhibit of her work. She was unnoticed until after her death when a container of her prints, negatives and undeveloped film were bought at an auction. Now she is finally being given credit for her amazing street photography. Today, a salute to Vivian from the Palais Royal!
If you are not acquainted with her work and her story, you must read more here.

Café le pas sage
Passage du Grand Cerf is one of the nicer passages left in Paris. Cafe le pas sage is just across from the lovely florist Messages du Grand Cerf so this tiny table was the lucky recipient of this luscious vase of roses.

Sunday Church Series - La Madeleine
This has to be one of the most exquisite altars in Paris. This summer evening we readied for a beautiful choral concert as part of Fête de la Musique. The accoustics in this enormous space were perfect.

Signes du Samedi - BON!
C'est toujours bon à Paris!
(I'm feeling very proud of my French as I ran this past Veronique, my ever faithful translator and
she said I was correct!!! Oh this is really big.)

Bleu à Paris
I'm never blue when I'm in Paris and La Fourmi Ailée, with the vélibs all lined up outside certainly made me smile.

Claire Ardaut Fleuriste
Recently I asked one of my newest followers and good friend Mark Cohen, to choose a photo for me to post on the blog. He chose this one. Quelle surprise!!! Claire is the name of his adorable granddaughter. Today's blog post is dedicated to Claire in Birmingham who has just celebrated her 4th birthday. Joyeux Anniversaire!
