L'artiste - Place des Vosges
This sidewalk artist at Place des Vosges, actually had some nice work for sale. Our friend Marie bought a little print and I took his photograph for her. He seemed a little skeptical!

More than a little, Virginia !!But do you care? it makes a great shot !!
Honestly!! Didn't he realise who was taking his picture and how many people would see it!! Sometimes it's great though to have the 'moody' B&W.
Chill Maurice Chill!
Great BW capture!
Delightful!
It's a cool portrait but he seems more than a little skeptical! He also looks a bit heavier than most Parisians! ;-)
Is this guy really from Paris? He looks a bit Basque, or at least from the Pyrénées – they don’t smile often overthere.
Vagabonde, you're right, he doesn't look Parisian to me either. Monsieur and I didn't chat of course! HA
He looks....strange.
L'artiste s'est levé du pied gauche! (He got up on the wrong side of the bed.) I hope his art work was worth it! ;-) Great shot, V. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
Un genre guère parisien!...
gros bisou
Un beau portrait mais il ne semble pas aimable !
Par contre j'aime beaucoup la nouvelle bannière, jolie collection de Tour Eiffel et belle idée de décoration de Noël
Belle fin d'année

We famous artists have an obligation to look a bit out of sorts. It is in our job descriptions.
He looks French to me!
He seems to be middle aged, non?
Lots of middle aged Frenchmen look like him, I mean, a little on the heavy side.
This handsome man looks a little worried and stressed, that´s all.
If he didn´t like you he would not be looking at you with his arms behind his back!
He would be crossing his arms against his chest and give you that look we all know...
Excellent portrait, Virginia! Thank you for reminding me of the delightful afternoon we spent at Place des Voges! I think about that day every time I look at the lovely watercolor I purchased.
Sweet Virginia!!
My new year's resolution is do what makes ME happy, and that includes frequenting PTML and PDP again. I miss you and your stunning photos so very much!
Happy New Year to you and all of your happy readers. I can't wait to shout from the virtual rooftops -
EIFFEL TOWER!
EIFFEL TOWER!!
EIFFEL TOWER!!!
E.T. Suzy - nice to see you're back.
With that hat, he looks like a Texas cowboy to me!
Are you sure he isn't a good ol' boy from Texas just visiting ol' Paree???
