I think Malyss is right Virginia, there will be lovers along any minute to sit on the bench under the moonlight and have a bit of a canoodle haha! Here's wishing you a very happy New Year Virginia.
For my Birmingham area readers I will be offering another series of photography classes starting soon. Designed for the amateur photographer , with any type of digital camera, who wants to improve the quality of their photographs. Five, two hour classes taught once a week.
I am a former elementary school teacher, a full-time photographer, part-time painter, lover of all things French ( whose français is slowly improving), obsessive Paris traveler, enthusiastic art museum volunteer, grateful community volunteer, and grandmother to 5 delightful grandchildren.
I fell in love with Paris in March 2007. It was as the French say, le coup de foudre : love at first sight. As a result of that trip, my photography took another direction. Since that time I have pursued a career of sorts in photography and dreamed of returning to the City of Lights. November 2008 found me strolling the streets of Paris once again. My first visit I was so overwhelmed with the incredible beauty of the city, I photographed it as a "tourist". My 2008 trip I looked at Paris with a different eye. I wanted to capture the unique, the small details, and oh yes - the people! This blog was started as a photo diary of that trip. I was thrilled to return to Paris and the French countryside in June and July of 2009, and January, 2010 and blogged daily while there. I returned to the city I love once more last June, 2010 and January 2011. Each time I visit, it feels more and more like home, and I discover new and interesting things with each trip. I cherish the time with my Paris friends as well as the friends that always join me there. Paris may well be a moveable feast, but it's best savored in person! Someone told me that once you have been to Paris, you will leave a piece of your heart. I left mine right there, but I brought home some wonderful memories. It is my pleasure to share them with you.

Excellent, Virginia. What is so good about the shot is that each viewer supplies his or her own interpretation.
Have a wonderful 2012, OK?
Hi Virginia,
Love the light and the shadows and this is such a fabulous photograph.

Hugs

I do believe I have a photo of the same tree!
