Lèche - vitrines

Window shopping in Paris is one of my favorite pastimes ,  but during the holiday season it's even more spectacular.  Even the smallest shops, like this on in Galerie Vivienne, is a delight.  My friends Mary and Mary couldn't resist.

"Lèche-vitrine:" A favorite French expression of mine! Makes even more sense if you are standing in front of a pâtisserie. ;-) Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

It's a beautiful sight. I'd be lost for ages looking in windows such as these.

Astrid was a window dresser in her day, Virginia, so when we went to the Christmas market in Düsseldorf a week ago, she just HAD to see the windows on Königsallee, the big shopping street. Very festive, indeed!

Des lumières plein les yeux... En cette période de l'année les vitrines sont tellement féeriques... Une part de rêve dans chacune d'elles... Et du rêve aussi grâce à votre photo ma chère Virginie.
Gros bisous

Oh your making me feel all goosey Virginia!!!
What an art and they do it so well in Paris at Christmas.

I love the flower shops most of all, and especially the fragrance and displays that invite one to step inside out of the cold - sheer magic!

Joyeux Noel to you and your family Virginia at this most wonderful of all seasons.

Paris Through My Lens. Check. Virginia's picture and profile. Check.

Yes, Virginia, this is a wonderful time of the year for window shopping. Some people even go inside and buy stuff, I have heard! Your photo today is, as always, well done.

Happy holidays, VIRGINIA.

In memory of George Whitman, owner of SHAKESPEARE & CO. He will be missed. Passed away at a young, 98!

"My friends Mary and Mary" This so reminded me of the Bob Newhart Show (maybe before your time) in which one of the characters introduced his brothers as "this is y brother Darrel and this is my other brother, Darrel".

An engaging image. You are inspiring me to get out my camera again. I hope Mary and Mary didn't spend an absurd amount here!
