Église Saint Séverin

I'm pleased that I can resume my Sunday focus on Paris churches for a while. Today, the beautiful Église Saint Severin on the left bank of Paris.

I'm glad you can resume your Sunday focus on Paris churches too—what a gorgeous image! Are you over your jet lag now?

Beautiful! Happy settling-back-in, Virginia, even if you may wish to be in this church today.

I LOVE Church images and this is a darling little cherub.

I've added it to my list to visit next time I'm in Paris.

Thank you Virginia.x

Alex, it's funny but I don't get jet lag. I was up almost 24 hours on Thursday and slept that night and was ok the next day. Guess I'm just lucky! One thing I always do it keep going the day I arrive in Paris or home. I never take a nap. Maybe that helps get me acclimated.

Shell,
Actually I attended services at the American Cathedral in Paris last Sunday and I wish I were right there again today but it will be nice to see my friends at my church today as well.

Roses,
Wait for more cherubs! :)

Just love details like this...

Saw where you mentioned the American Cathedral. Our first apartment in Paris as a married couple was immediately adjacent to the American Church on the Quai d'Orsay... our window looked out on the courtyard of the church... a fine place to live to enjoy Paris from, but too small, we had to move when our first daughter was on the way...
sigh...

Owen,
I visited the American Cathedral in Paris located on Avenue George V. I"ve not visited the one you mentioned. I attended services at this one last janvier and was so pleased to be there again last Sunday. A beautiful place to worship.

I've just looked through your Paris blog and totally enjoyed doing so. Lovely photos. How wonderful that you have friends to share that with you.

I wonder if this was the inspiration for Angels with Dirty Faces (I made that up)
