Wow ... the magical glow seems to beckon you to stroll along with your arm through your lover's. It would be impossible to just walk by without wanting to do so, I think. Talk about romance in the air in Paris! Fabulous, Virginia.

Wow, Virginia! What a fabulous shot. You and Eric have both outdone yourselves today.

Mrs. V,
Oh Eric's photo from the ET is just terrific and I told him so. Thank you.

Sandy,
What's not romantic in Paris?? :)

Shell,
I agree. The Louvre at night is breathtaking.

Daryl,
Never stroll Paris without a camera!

Absolutely gorgeous V!!! Love the colors...very subtle...you can see the chill in the air with the grey clouds, yet there's warmth coming from the street lamps...Beautiful!!!

Oh, I really, really like this picture!
BTW, my word verification today is 'wines'.

Chieftess, actually it was June and hotter than hades but you're right a storm was rolling in and it had cooled down. You know now that I think about it, it might have rained that day and gotten chilly.

Starman. I'm so pleased that you like it! And the WV is an omen, a good one I think! :)

I'm with my gal Shell: Aaaaahs from one end to the other! And did you do this without a tripod?? (My WV is "bathed," as in bathed in beautiful Parisian lamplight.)

Virginia said...

Alexa, I did not use a tripod. Some I put my camera on my bag on the surface by the fountains for balance. Peter is also my "human tripod" and a good one. I lean back on him and hold my elbows close to my body, take a deep breath and pray! :)

I love this place. Have you noticed the small crosses on the top of every lamp ?
Your photos makes me "homesick" for Paris.

I love "natural" patterns like this!

Ditto Bettina. "Homesick for Paris." Everything about that city recalls its compelling soul.
