What's with the palm tree? An unfortunate decorating choice I think.
With any luck at all, this morning I'll be right here at Aéroport Charles de Gaulle. Even though I spent an excruciating day last August trying to get out of here, I still get a little flutter everytime I walk through the beautiful Delta/Air France terminal with these amazing wood walls/ceiling. I know you've all got scary stories to tell, hey so do I! But if my toes are touching
French soil today..... je suis trés heureux!

If the palm tree be unfortunate, the tracks are inspired.
Enjoy your stay!
Welcome !!!! It's freezing out here but the sun is here today to welcome you in Paris. Have a great stay.
Bienvenue!
... and for the other commentators, I can confirm that Virginia really has arrived! She just called me and I guess I will meet her a bit later today!
(Im' afraid it will be a cold week.)
Yay, thanks for the update, Peter!! So glad to hear Virginia's arrived ~ I hope she managed to squeeze some thermals into her carry-on.
Have fun!!
Wow V, you're back in Paris where you belong. Stay warm, have a marvelous time and take lots of photos for us!!
I guess I'm going to have to fly Delta next time -- I've only ever gone American and that terminal is appalling.
Stay warm,V!! Have a wonderful time!
Woohoo! Have a wonderful time. I'm quite sure this wasn't the terminal I landed at in Charles DeGaulle. Nothing quite this pretty. I'm glad to know you're safe and sound.
We are happy you've arrived!
The Delta terminal is the best of the many at CDG, in «Louis'» opinion.
Re the palm tree. They are going to install plastic pink flamingos next to it. «Louis» knows that rumor is true cuz he started it himself...
Fabulous! This means more photos for the rest of us! You know which one I'm looking for.
Enjoy!
Good news to hear you are there .. I hope its warmer than here ..
Welcome, welcome, Virginia. What an amazing terminal. I don't mind the palm tree actually!
Give Peter a big hug from his Menton friend.
Have a great time in Paris and keep warm.
Thanks, Peter, for letting us know that Virginia arrived safely.
Hope the jet-lag is minimal so that you are able to get out and about ASAP.
Well it's almost 11 paris time and I can't even compute how long I've been up with a short nap on the plane. I'll get you a photo for tomorrow but that's all!
Merci to Peter who let you all know. He trudged all over paris in the freezing cold today with us. Even treated us to champagne and a King Cake. Forgive me for not being able to conjure up the French name. ( From Stroher no less!)
Fabulous photos V!!! Flying in and out of here would make all the security checks more palatable!!!
