Last Saturday morning's snowfall crowned this beautiful statue in the gardens of the Musée Carnavalet in the Marais.
My friend Owen at Magic Lantern Show has done a new post comparing his photos of this angel and the lovely statue by the staircase at the Musée Carnavalet with mine. Merci Owen for the nice post. You will all want to see his photos as well. Owen has a terrific eye!

Gorgeous. Lovely start to my Sunday morning.
"Snow Angel" - good play on the words. ;-)
Oh, that's haunting.
Great composition!
It makes me shiver to look at it.
Lovely shot V!!! I agree with AH...haunting, yet in an angelic way!!!
You got a nice photograph. It looks to be very old.
Reminded me of...
"Make me an angel
That flies from montgomery
Make me a poster
Of an old rodeo
Just give me one thing
That I can hold on to
To believe in this livin
Is just a hard way to go"
She's lovely under the snow...
Owen,
I emailed you about the poem. I"m intrigued. Maybe a song?
Abe,
That's why I love Paris, EVERYTHING is so old....I feel young!HA
Thanks everyone. She is lovely isn't she! The snow was just an extra embellishment.
It is beautiful! And then with the snow...!
I have been to Paris quite often but unfortnately never when it snowed!
I like the banner very much!
I just commented with a mistake. So here it goes, corrected:
I guess you know that this inspired Owen to make a nice post about the Carnavalt Museum ... and about YOU!
Thanks for the tip Peter!
Diederick, after seeing your Arona in the snow photogrphs your must come to Paris and try it. I would love to see Paris through your lens my friend.
Yes indeed, a song, "Angel From Montgomery", written by John Prine, covered by Bonnie Raitt, Dave Matthews, among others, and most recently it appears in the wonderful film "Into the Wild"; if not familiar with it, just type the title on YouTube, there are several versions available... including John Prine... also a nice version with Bonnie Raitt and Jackson Browne on stage together doing this tune... enjoy !
Owen,
So it WAS Montgomery, Alabama in the song. I knew it. Thanks. I love Jackson Browne and Bonnie Raitt. I'll go listen right now. :)

One can hear the quiet in the photo of the angel.Bravo,,all wonderful images!
C'est magnifique .... and I was so impressed with myself, remembering enough Français to translate the title before I saw the photo.
Daryl,
I like to think that translating comments and titles has helped me improve my French. I am learning a little at a time.
