The Delta terminal at Aéroport Charles de Gaulle is one of my favs ( the Dégas runs a close second). Have a look at these fabulous doors. The rest is equally as cool ( and clean).

I'm back from a wonderful 10 days in Paris and a bit weary tonight.  I hope to have some fresh photos downloaded by tomorrow, but for today, a parting shot taken yesterday with my iPhone at Aéroport Charles de Gaulle, just before we left.

Woman and Child

As we sat waiting in Charles de Gaulle Airport in 2008, I was mesmerized by this woman with her small boy. It was a long wait for such a small child, but he was delightful. I did that, "Should I ask to take his photo?" in my head for probably an hour. Finally, I just took my camera and held it up. She nodded.  He was delighted to see his image in my screen. I'm glad I asked.

What's with the palm tree? An unfortunate decorating choice I think.

With any luck at all, this morning I'll be right here at Aéroport Charles de Gaulle. Even though I spent an excruciating day last August trying to get out of here, I still get a little flutter everytime I walk through the beautiful Delta/Air France terminal with these amazing wood walls/ceiling. I know you've all got scary stories to tell, hey so do I! But if my toes are touching

French soil today..... je suis trés heureux!

What Is It??? Where Is It???

For all you Francophiles out there, you know who you are,  I have a little contest for you. Bonjour Paris!!!

Bonjour Paris!   With any luck at all, we are in Charles de Gaulle Airport ( CDG)  today , feeling somewhat human.  Hopefully the French Customs Officials are pleased as punch to see us,  and we will shortly be off to meet M. Santa- Ana and his nice big van that can accomodate all of our excessive American luggage!

( I have not mastered the Paris/Birmingham post option time thing yet. Please bear with me. )
