Merveilleux!! The singer photo is quite wonderful, with her (seemingly) audience of one. I love the doors -- what is it about these? They are just so intriguing. And any view of La Tour is always a feast for the heart and soul.

This is some selection, Virginia. The cigar (?) lady is, indeed, to die for. How tempted were you to crop off the bike rider? The blue door plus bicycle is drop-dead gorgeous - especially the tawdriness of it! However, the chanteuse is so tender and so emotional. They are both giving out - and the steps and the building create a gulf between them. Just terrific ... terrific ...

J'adore! If I could tell you why in French, I'd give you so many reasons about angles and colors...But you've said "No French today"...;-))

Oh I am open to cropping on the cigar lady. I think I even tried it. I like the bike for some reason but don't like the walker but it's awkward getting her out. I personally think she was the catch of the trip. The singer was giving it everything she had. While not terribly good, we gave her an A for effort!

Alice, let me have it in French I will see what I can do with it! You got a work out yesterday n'est pas?

Blue door and bike. I have mentioned this to Dusty Lens but bicycles and photography go hand in hand, old pushbikes are best. Singing lady, very brave. Top shot how many stories could you weave around that lady. Don't even ask me to cast my critical eye or professional opionion over the Paris pics blog, it's my virtual tourism and I'm thoroughly enjoing.

Terrific. I love them all. Thank you for the sneak preview of what to expect. So much better than the travel books I've been devouring.

My Paris countdown:10 more days!

My friend Carolyn, who is an artist, went to France for a year to look for peace and inspiration. When she came back she had only pieces of wood, bark, nails and such in her suitcase with no idea of what to do next...
For years ahead she produced beautiful beautiful 3D doors to hang of walls.
Virginia your angles are marvelous.

Fantastic! Today I have a favourite: the 1st one with the smoking lady! The composition is brilliant! I really like the 'extras', each one moving in a different way on the right place :-)

I imagine a person could make a lifelong hobby of photographing doors in Paris.

More doors for me! Merci! And the singer, oh, one can simply stop and sing on the steps in Paris - but my guess is she's probably a trained opera singer, being grand.
