The Musée Carnavalet, the history of Paris museum, is tucked away in the Marais. It's lovely and newly renovated. Have a look.

La neige à Paris II

10 janvier, 2010 we awoke to a gentle snowfall. In all of my trips since I've not experienced another.I got a lot of milage out of this one beautiful day in Paris.

Le croix

My obsession with Parisian vines continues from one trip to the next. The Marais is an especially fertile area for magnificent vines!

Paris Rouge - Scoot!

While I was madly photographing the couple in the background, this little guy zoomed by. I love Paris.

Wandering around le Village Saint Paul one afternoon, I poked my head into a small courtyard and discovered this little photography exhibit, but alas, the artist must have stepped out for a smoke! If you are spending some time in the Marais, I highly recommend.

La mairie

Sometime the Parisian photography gods really bless me. We were strolling by the Mairie in the Marais, and found these steps covered rose petals. I think I just missed the bride and groom but the petals were enough....

Les Philosophes

Café life. I don't think I've ever passed a Parisian café and not found someone I'd love to photograph!

Somewhere In The Marais

Most of the time, I do a fair job of taking archive shots so when I return home, I'll know where I was. I will have to admit for this lovely building, I've got nothing! I know it's in the Marais, but it's one of those photographs that truly don't remember taking. So for now, enjoy this pretty balcony with the lacy ironwork.

UPDATE! Thanks to my kind reader JPD, who left a comment, we all now know this is the Hôtel de Beauvais on Avenue François Miron in the Marais.

Le Marais

One of the my favorite neighborhoods to wander.  Pitzman Kosher is very well loved and known in the Marais. I was fascinated watching him at work.

Shhhhhhhhhh!

Chats dorment, but don't worry, there are always plenty who are awake and awaiting a lap or some petting.

Sunday Church Series - Les bougies

The Église Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis  ( 1621) in the Marais. I"ve lost count on how many times I've walked into this sweet church. It's not the largest or the grandest church in Paris, but well worth a visit.

Les haricots verts

Fresh from the farm. Spotted at a small farm to table market in the Marais.
