Ma Première Visite à Paris - mars, 2007

Taken the first day I set foot in Paris.  After settling into our room at the Victoria Palace Hotel,  Melissa, Eva and I took a stroll around the neighborhood.  We got a little lost but found this gorgeous doorway along the way.  For the record... the day I fell in love.

Tres romantique... And Mireille Mathieu in the background if I am not mistaken (she sounds a lot like Piaf...) All "very Paris..." Bon dimanche, V. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

For me it was the day before my 21st birthday. I arrived in Paris early morning on a bus tour (yes many yrs. ago)...and haven't been the same since....! Love the blue!

Thanks for visiting my blog V!

I remember my moment of love as well on a gray misty day coming out of the RER with a view of the Seine and the panorama of Paris... le sigh

V, The player is way down on the sidebar and you can see the songs and artists. You can also select another tune or turn it off. :) I'm glad you like it. I do too!

Janey and Genie, I love hearing when you fell in love with Paris.

Costas, bien sûr, on every corner.

Lela, we feel the same don't we!

Joop, you might be interested to know that the first trip I shot with a Nikon Cool Pix point and shoot.

RIet, yes it was.

We were, as I think you know, also there for the first time in 2007...celebrating our 50th with dinner on our anniversary at the Eiffel Tower! We both fell in love with Paris!

Re your question: No, please; just put in your name so I know who you are...

Hope your weekend is going well!

Oh my but I do love this shot! Paris is a city hard not to fall in love with. I can't say I remember my first moment but they've built upon each other over 20 years. And every time I return, I find something else I've never seen. And something else to fall in love with!

I think we all remember when we fall in love! Mine was back in 1970 when I opened the shutters of my hotel window and looked out over Montmartre...les reves!
