Admittedly, after we left Paris the temps dropped dramatically, but even so, it was pretty chilly while we were there. Most cafés/ bistros have outdoor heaters and many drop thick plastic curtains to keep their patrons warm and happy. This little café offered something I don't think I've ever seen in Paris, lap robes. The blue is a nice compliment to the red/white chairs bien sûr. Vive la France!

Oh how I wish I could be sitting there...right now, this minute!! Colx
That looks so inviting and the patron is a great host to take care of robes for the guests.
Have a nice day
First time I see this! It was surely really cold!
Indeed, the blue lap robes against the red and white of the chairs remind «Louis» of the tricolore
Za French - zey sink of everything!
Salut V de B!
Cozy ... and nicer than thick plastic 'curtain' to block the view
A nice way to attract the smokers! :-)
This is a great idea and I have only seen it twice. One December (brrrrr) Holly and I had déjeuner on the terrace at Bon Marché, heated, plastic enclosure, and darling taupe lap robes...
Nice capture, V.
Créatif, certainement! A good business move, absolument! Bienvenue aux Fumeurs! Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
It must have been really cold if they were bringing out the big guns.
Lovely idea!...Janey
Ah, I can taste an espresso sitting there right now.
Thank you for sharing.
After you left, OF COURSE the temperatures would rapidly fall.
The French seem committed to outdoor cafe life even when it is much colder than most Americans would be OK with sitting outside.
how cute
Now that's what I call 'very civilized' Virginia!!
Wonderful pic. Thank you so much!
