One Euro, One Euro, One Euro...

As much as I love to stand and gaze up at la Tour Eiffel, these incessant souvenir vendors detract from the ambiance I want to savor!  The only way I've found to keep them at bay is to point my camera in their direction. I've been cursed in French many times, and for once I'm happy my grasp of the language is so poor!

Blog emergency: Our friend Peter at Peter's Paris needs some help. Last night, his blog of 3 years disappered! If you have any expertise or can offer advice email me and I"ll pass it on to Peter.

Yes, these guys are annoying and they don't know the first thing about marketing. There are always too many vendors at the same location selling the same tacky trinkets. Nevertheless, this is a very nice photo.

I remember the little kids with the penny eiffel key chains...they reminded me of the Dickens street urchins...I kept thinking they were there to divert my attention so that someone else could pick my purse!!!

Great "stealth" shot, V! They do seem to work in hoards, all together. They bother me less than the ones that say, "Do you speak English?"

How many did you buy...

I only know one "bad word" in French and that's enough! Thanks to you, we now know how to keep these guys at bay --- point the camera.

I really dislike pushy vendors. Reminds me of Mexico!

Terrible what has happened to your friend's blog!!

There's a way to notify Blogger of problems...go into dashboard, scroll all the way down, there's a list of items, click on help...then explore...I've actually made contact with blogger that way...otherwise...explore dashboard...and contact us types of links. Wish Peter luck...

Well, today my blog is also missing. There is obviously something going on at Blogger. Of course, god forbid they should keep us informed. I once encountered a vendor who was selling scarves that I really wanted to buy, but he wanted more than I would pay. He said "dix", I said "cinq". He said "no". I started to walk away, he ran after me and gave me the scarves for "cinq".

Peter's blog has reappeared. Aren't we all relieved. Now I"m trying to figure out what I can do to preserve mine. Maybe I will do that book of my blogs.

Kathy,
Well Peter and I have talked about that idea. Somewhere there is a way to do it. I think it would cost too much. I"ve asked Peter to let me know the website and maybe we all might look into it.

Let us know about it. We were talking at the Blogger Picnic today about one among us whose blog was taken down by Google because of one (anonymous) complaint! If they can do that, we need to protect ourselves.

I didn't have this experience at La Tour. Either I don't look like moneybags or I look mean.

This is a brilliant shot, V. Just love it. So glad to know Peter is back up and running again.
