Trompe L'oeil - Le Marais

It's little things like this nice artwork on the side of a building that makes Paris not only a moveable feast, but a feast for the eyes as well.

This would be good picture in canvas. You could stare it for hours and think what's real and what is not.VERY fascinating, very good.

It's a wonderful find, but your composition has made it even better—love those lamps!

Alexa,
The silhouette of the lamp did it for me! I think it almost looks like it could be part of the mural. Now if I could just PS that darn billboard out of the picture!

This is sooo excellent, V. The artwork I could do without. Take that away and you've got your own piece of art which could hang in one of the Paris museums!

What a great find!!! Thanks for all that walking in Paris to find these photos for us. And to think I was staying in the Marais and missed seeing this.

My first thought was that the billboard was an intrusion but, having pondered, I think it really adds to the photo - so many different layers within the image.
