Place des Vosges
I'll admit that once my toes touch Paris soil, I just feel the vibes of Cartier-Bresson, Doisneau, Brassai and many others and start to look at everything differently. They are an inspiration for me. These stools in the late afternoon sunlight, casting long shadows, stopped me in my tracks.

Photography is like having eye surgery, yes?
Once, I'd never have thought stools and shadows could 'say' so much. Lovely, V!
V, you have the eye of an artist and your photos are "inspired." Show us more!
une photo très simple mais belle!
Sorry V, for hardly any comments on your blog recently. I have just been to busy to comment anywhere. I have now checked your last nice (as usual) posts and have also noticed - with pleasure - the arrival of Genie in the blogger family!

Julie,
HA, eye surgery indeed!
I'm so glad they did, V—what a wonderful, evocative photo!
Since a lot of Parisians are getting ready to leave the city, maybe it's a portent of things to come.
Wonderful shot Virginia. I love your words too.
Hi,
You do realize that in French, "les selles" means the other kind of stool [poop], yes?
The word for the kind of stool you sit on is "taubouret".
Thank you Mark for catching that. I have made the change!
V
