Paris Rouge XXXII - Clés

One of several key shops on and near rue Mouffetard. It seems to me that there are many key shops found all over Paris. Perhaps that's because so many places still use the wonderful old keys , just like this one. My apartment key was a big , brass one like this. I loved it!

Oh, bring back those impractically beautiful large keys, please! I wish my doors required such keys. Stunning photo, V!

Great shot of the key, Virginia! Wish we could have brought it home though it is a bit large for the carry-on.

In all our apartments, we've never had a key like this. Too bad.

They were great because you could always find it !

Now there's a key with character! Great shot, V.
I always got my keys made in the basement of the BHV—doesn't have nearly the panache of this place.
