Paris Rouge XXIV - Où Sont Les Touristes?
It was January. It had snowed recently. It was cold. It was damp and foggy at Place du Tertre. Not a good time to be trying to entice les touristes. This hearty artiste was one of a very few that braved the inclement weather that day.

He looks as gloomy as the weather ... great portrait, V.
Judging from his attire, he's not too successful.
Starman, if he could have made me look like that portrait, I'd have paid him! :)
Daryl,
It was not a great day to be outside to paint/draw. I was amazed there were any there.
A brave man indeed!
Virginia sorry I can't comment all your recent photos on this blog but I did look carefully at them all and smiled and praised and enjoyed!!!
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr......you've captured the cold and damp that the artist is braving so well, Virginia! Let's give the man a hot chocolate!
Ah, c'est moi! Well, it could have been before I discovered les macarons!
It might have been a good day to pick up a real bargain!
Eugenie in LA (lower Alabama)
I want to buy him a cassis.
Great capture! I wish I knew how to photoshop my own sketch into that frame!
This is a great shot! I feel for the guy, but how amazing to see Place du Tertre empty like this.
This is an amazing portrait you took! I'm very impressed with your blog - your love of Paris shows.
