More Sax in Paris

Montmartre

la Louvre

You can find street musicians all over Paris, even in the Metros. I've shared a sax player on the Seine here. Today, two more. You can't have too much sax in Paris in my opinion!

I wonder if that's the same sax man in the Louvre who has been playing there for years? Maybe not because he usually only comes out at night. 3

Starman,
It might be. We saw him late one night in June and then when we went back in July for another night shoot, we heard him playing but by the time we got there, he was leaving! I might start packing today! :)

I don't think you can have too much sax anywhere! But, maybe that's just me...

Ah, the joy of sax.

As that you are into photography, I thought that you may be interested in a monthly blog posting called “5 on the fifth” where you can either take 5 random pictures of anything that happens to you on the 5th of January (or the days leading up to it) or perhaps go for my suggested theme.

Just post your pictures on your own blog and then post a comment on MY blog with your name, location and link to your site – I then update the entry so the world has your link. Remember to mention my blog on your own blog so that your visitors get to see the other contributions.

Interested?

Here’s a link to my blog:

and a link to the “5 on the fifth” entries:

Stephen, I thank you for the invitation but right now juggling two daily blogs is about all i can manage. I'll keep it in mind when I get back and settle down!

Hiker and Stephen, HAR, you two started something. Well sax on the streets of Paris is pretty fun. I'll try and get more photos! :) No sax in the Metro yet, but I'll keep my eyes out.

Maya,
Mais oui!

And Starman,
Sax at the Louvre sounds downright sacreligious doesn't it!

Delightful photos! Reminds me of the Talking Heads song "Sax and Violins" only your song is "Sax and Banjo". Doesn't have quite the same ring, but at least your sax and banjo are Parisian!

I have been away from blogging for too long and you have posted all the time! Amazing the stock of photos you still have, but I guess it's now time to fill up the stock! See you later this week!

... and when it comes to the champagne, I hope you will let me take care!

... and of course all my best wishes to you, daughters and grandkids for a wonderful 2010!

No doubt it's good sax, but is it SAFE sax?
The inquiring mind of «Louis la Vache» wants to know....

Katie,
Aren't they great. I love the street musicians in Paris!

Peter,
Some of us are hard working bloggers! And merci for the very kind champagne offer. :) Soon now!!

LOUIS,
I should have known you'd jump in here. Hiker started it! This kind of thing happens on her blog often.

I hear that practising safe sax makes perfect.

Hi, I followed you from Julie's (Sydney Eye) Blog. I saw this pic and can't believe how much it looks like an old friend of mine who I used to live with. Christophe lived in Zurich when I knew him...but I know he'd been to NY a couple of times and played on the streets here. Here's a photo of him. http://www.gal-zawi.ch/chr1.html
