I've just returned from a wonderful 8 days in Paris. We had rain and blue skies. As a friend said, "You don't go to Paris for the weather!" Absolutely.

We met friends for brunch near the Jardin du Luxembourg, so Mary and I forged on for a walk through the gardens in a light rain. This is one of my favorite places to photograph. The trees were spectacular, and this image reminds me of why I love these gardens so much. No pétanque players this year. Maybe another trip.

It's not often you get a few quiet moments at the lovely la Fountaine des Medicis at Jardin du Luxembourg During low tourist season, it's a delightful  place to sit and read or just rest and enjoy.

Reconnaisant

Sometimes the photographer has to lay the camera down and savor the moment.  There wasn't much water in the fountain, but the rain had stopped and the sun was out at the Palais Royal.   I was exceedingly grateful to be in that place on such a beautiful Sunday in Paris.
