Pinch Me

Never in my wildest dreams, when I fell in love with Paris and photography in 2007,  did I ever imagine that one day I would have one of my images on a book cover, much less a book published by Penguin Random House, set in Paris! Last week Juliet Blackwell's newest novel, The Paris Key, arrived at my doorstep with this lovely note. I started reading it immediately and was struck by so many wonderful serendipitous events that I had to share with Juliet. The story, set in the Marais at  Village St. Paul is just a few blocks from an apartment I rented in the 2010. While there, I photographed a lovely man who had KEY shop and had written a book about antique KEYS! I hope all of my friends who love Paris will order this book, and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I am.

I am over the moon for you, V! And of course, Marais is my stomping grounds -- my friend lived there, so I'm extra eager to read this one!

Lucky me: I got an advance copy weeks ago, when it showed up at my office. And very lucky Juliet Blackwell—your beautiful photo is the icing on her (delicious) cake!

OH my. I haven't had this many comments in about 5 years! How can I thank you all for your wonderful remarks and encouragement. Many of you have been on this journey with me since 2008. This blog has brought me so many dear friendships and you have opened my world and I'm eternally grateful. Photography and Paris came late in my life but oh how I"ve grown as a result. I look forward to continuing our friendships and thank you again for your support.

So glad to see your photo appreciated and enjoyed. I am taken back to Paris each time I open my e-mail and find your photo's there. I appreciate your eye and am thankful you are willing to share. Paris is also my favorite city in the world and you help to feed my soul.
