Samedi avec Papa

Saturdays in Paris don't involve being loaded up in the family SUV for a day of track meets, basketball games etc.  You see a lot of families out together on the streets. Papa had the children this Saturday morning.  Who knows where they were headed.

Hi V, think they're definitely on a mission. My guess is to a bakery serving chocolate croissants. Bon Vivant J.

French fathers seem to be a lot more involved with their kids than US fathers. In fact, you more often see the kids with their father than with their mothers in France.

Yesterday, Sunday, was one of those glorious winter sunny days in Paris. I went over to the Champ de Mars and it was packed with families (as well as the usual tourists). Your photo wonderfully captures the feel of the family outing.

Lovely photo!!!!
One day in the USA walkers will be extinct. It is as you say the SUV and drive thrus where you will find the Dads with kids in the states. This photo actually looks like one from the 1940's.

Darling photo, Virginia! I definitely noticed many more Dads out with the little ones in Paris this last trip than I ever see in the States. Very interesting. Mostly they were holding hands, too.
