Librairie des Archives

Located in the Marais, the outside caught my eye before the book filled interior!  It stocks books dedicated to art and artists of the 20th Century. Maybe one day I'll have more time than I did this day, and can step inside for browse.

Elle aurait besoin d'un coup de peinture, mais ce genre de détail importe peu aux amoureux des livres.

I love the shabby outside and all the books inside!

It all looks so wonderfully rustic both inside and out. Suggests a treasure is somewhere to be found.

How close to where I stayed! However did I miss this! It's a splendid photo, Virginia.

This, Virginia, is a picture this bibliophile really loves. I think I did a quick breeze-through, but could easily have spent the day. Your picture makes it look so warm and welcoming. Like you, maybe next time. :-)

I like the booksellers in the stands along the Seine. We've brought home some old ones from those guys.

Maybe they can get one of their artist friends to repaint the place before it rots.

Don't you wish there were some way to preserve the worn look of the exterior without exposing the structure to damage? It reminds me of the young men who consciously keep about a two day stubble at all times.
