Duet

Sunday on rue Mouffetard

Christian Bassoul, who is  always on hand to play the accordion, and Viviane, who dances and often sings a solo.

You can see they're really into the performance.

rue Mouffetard is always special. We make a point of taking all of our visitors there and they all love it. Early in the day the market is exciting, at night it has a romantic atmosphere, Place de la Contrescarpe has a Hemingwayesque appearance and feel and last but not least Le Mouffetard restaurant is about as authentic as they get for market street cafés. So, even when the street performers are not there it is well worth a visit. On many Saturday mornings you can find me at Le Contrescarpe either writing or sketching, something is always going on!
