Musique sur le pont

The Pont des Arts, a pedestrian bridge,  is always alive with musicians, artists and other creative Parisians.  This friendly gentleman's music added to our stroll across to the Left Bank.

Not a bad way to spend your day -- sitting on the Pont des Arts and playing music. Hope he made a few euros too!

My first time in Paris we crossed one of the bridges at night and a musician was playing an accordion. It felt like I was standing in an old movie - so poetic and charming.
I'll never forget that moment.

Great photo, V! He looks like a happy sort of fellow! I wish we had musicians here who would serenade us. The closest thing to this that I can think of is in Chicago where a street musician is on the corners playing a saxophone with a container for contributions and young kids are beating on white buckets turned upside down with sticks. Not quite the same is it? Ha

This must be an older photo, now you can barely see the sides for all the locks. Unless the city has "cleaned" it again.

French music is best heard on an accordion.

He sure loves what he's doing, i can tell. But if i was playing music for people on a bridge in Paris.. i'd be happy too! :)

So few locks! This must be soon after a clearing...

My favorite bridge, too. Last summer I finally got to stroll across it with my love, at night. How's that for a wonderful memory?

Rick and I have a lock on that bridge! At least I hope it is still there! Such a wonderful experience! This photo brings back memories!

I have never seen musicians on Pont des Arts, but "only" people having a picnic on a tepid summer evening.

I can't believe that in my two trips to Paris I've never managed to walk across the Pont des Arts. Next time, for sure... And a chance for a musician too.

I only discovered this bridge on my last trip...and I stumbled onto it just by wandering the streets of Paris...
How I LOVE accordion music!
