With Any Luck...

Mary and I will be joining friends over a glass this very day!

I will not be posting new photos from Paris this week, but hope to be able to share our day's adventures with you each night.

UPDATE!!!  We landed at 6:15 am in the dark and it was raining.  Made it through CDG and customs. I used "Bonjour Monsieur" ( one of my best lines) on the customs officer and actually got a smile!!
We took the Roissy bus to the Opera and then a quick metro ride ( I won't talk about all the steps with my heavy bags) and found the apt like a charm. We love the apt and Janeen, the owner.  We are headed out for lunch with Peter and a look around our neighborhood. I see the Monoprix in our future and the Apple Store Opera as well!  And for the record, we LOVE  Paris when it  drizzles!

Thanks for letting us know that you arrived safely and that you like the apt.

I can feel the electricity of Paris just by thinking about you being there!

Even the computer is giving me a frenchie-fied WV: vinvers....must mean you're pretty close to a glass of wine!

i would love to see paris in the rain....cold...snow...i would just love to see paris....i am very envious....;)

Happy to see you're there and having a great time before you even got into the city.
BTW, you don't have to stand in the cold to see the Monet exhibit. Go to FNAC and get your tickets and you can walk right in.

I'm envious too—but mostly happy for you and looking forward to enjoying your visit vicariously. A glass of bubbly ... with good friends ... in Paris—what could be better?

And I though the one thing we had over France was Apple....

I hope you don't have to wait in the cold to get into the Monet exhibition. I waited 3 hours and it started to snow...but it was so worth it.

So glad to hear that you and Mary are happily settled in your apartment and have a chance to meet up with Peter. Here's to a great time AND both of you getting many things marked off your lists!

We have decided against the Monet exhibit as we've seen the Marmatton Monet collection and have limited time here. Hope we don't regret that.

Rip,
The Apple Store was amazing! Took lots of photos. :)

Virginia this is so exciting. I can't believe you got a smile from a customs officer - what a good omen for this new stay in Paris.
Please give a hug and kiss to Peter for me, will you? It's been too long since I last saw him!

Gorgeous atmosphere in this photo BTW
