V, Another great shot AND I always LOVE the rouge! By now you've probably heard that your TIGERS WON!! 22 - 19 and what an exciting game it was! Congratulations!!!!
I am a former elementary school teacher, a full-time photographer, part-time painter, lover of all things French ( whose français is slowly improving), obsessive Paris traveler, enthusiastic art museum volunteer, grateful community volunteer, and grandmother to 5 delightful grandchildren.
I fell in love with Paris in March 2007. It was as the French say, le coup de foudre : love at first sight. As a result of that trip, my photography took another direction. Since that time I have pursued a career of sorts in photography and dreamed of returning to the City of Light. November 2008 found me strolling the streets of Paris once again. My first visit I was so overwhelmed with the incredible beauty of the city, I photographed it as a "tourist". My 2008 trip I looked at Paris with a different eye. I wanted to capture the unique, the small details, and oh yes - the people! This blog was started as a photo diary of that trip. I was thrilled to return to Paris and the French countryside in June and July of 2009, and blogged daily while there. I've returned to the city I love in June, 2010 , January 2011 and January 2012! Each time I visit, it feels more and more like home, and I discover new and interesting things with each trip. I cherish the time with my Paris friends as well as the friends that always join me there. Paris may well be a moveable feast, but I think it's best savored in person! Someone told me that once you have been to Paris, you will leave a piece of your heart. I left mine right there, but I brought home some wonderful memories. It is my pleasure to share them with you.

All the best

What a nice place! I love the light in this photo
Gorgeous, best place in Paris, and l'echarpe rouge is pretty charming.
The golden light reflected in the arches, the red scarf, the quiet mood...lov-e-ly.
Lovely ..
I have some catching up to do...
Of course! Love the spot of red as it contrasts with his clothes and the ceiling. Nice, V!
Yikes—forgot to say: Congrats on your boys' big win!
You seem to spent (have spent) a lot of time at Place des Vosges.
I am just happy that I recognized it was Place des Vosges even before I read the caption!
