Sunday Paris Church Series - Église Saint-Pierre de Montmartre

I'll be honest.  I found this photo recently, taken July, 2009.  Maya, Janet, Peter and I were on our trek up to the Sacre-Coeur and we stopped at the church and the small cemetery that adjoins it.  Since, according to my recollection, the cemetery is only open one day a year, I feel like this must not be a mausoleum. Perhaps it's from inside the church.  Anyone want to try and clear this up?

The stained glass windows are quite recent as also this old church (partly form the 11th century) suffered from the Revolution, was even used as a telegaphic post for a while... and then restored.
If you really wish to visit the cemetery you must book a flight back for November 1, the only day it's open!

Well, Peter, you know our Virginia might just do that!

Given the colors and design, not surprised to learn this window is recent—but, oh Virginia, how you've captured the light! Trust you're having a very bon dimanche a Paris.

I think you could meet my daughter tomorrow or Tuesday, if you want it of course...

Alice,
I would LOVE to meet your daughter but we have so many plans made for tomorrow and Tuesday. There never seems to be enough time to see everyone. Thank you though.

Only one day a year. That makes it so special. I'm glad you're having a wonderful time!
