Cafe de la Paix

I liked this nice reflection with the ever present Parisian waiter.  Maybe we'll pay him a little visit this trip. ( We checked their prices on Thursday. We won't  be dining there! )

UDATE:  Mary and I had a bon dimanche. Got a late start around noon and walked all the way to the BIrd and Flower  Market on Ile de la Cité.  Then we took the metro to rue Mouffetard. Sadly the dancers had left but we walked up the street , had a 10 minute massage, ate at a Greek Cafe, and then made it to the Pantheon.  From there we walked down the hill to Luxembourg Gardens and even found two chairs to do some people watch ing.  I took a few photos of my favorite pétanque players and then we headed home.  After a rest and some computer time, we walked near the Palais Royal for pizza with  the apartment owner Janeen, whom we love!  We've had some late nights and I'm heading to bed this minute.  Tonight is a big game for my Auburn Tigers. Hope I can get another photo up sometime today!  :)

Did you try Tea by Thé, 2, place du Palais Royal? I don't know it yet but I've read in a magazine that it must be a nice place.

Love that shot!

If you have a chance, get to Les Philosophes in Le Marais. Their duck salad makes me drool just thinking about it...and their chai tea drink...don't even get me started...just go!

The reflection is fantastic!

That is what I love about Europe. You can walk and walk for hours; of course it offsets the calories from all that wonderful food.

la fourchette,
I think I have passed it before. Thanks for the tip.

Daryl,
You wouldn't believe how much pizza we ate~!

I can't walk enough to get off the kilos I've probably gained.

To Daryl: Even pizza tastes better in Paris!

Glad you're having such a great time.

I'm smiling, daydreaming and wishing I was in Paris. Every photo evokes a fond memory or creates a new one. Merci!

Café de la Paix is very, very touristy and that's why their prices are so high.

Thats funny you saw some petanque players in the Gardens- my father and his best friend have become huge petanque junkies in the past few years. We have our own American Petanque League "team" called the "Dawg's Boules." I got some new boules for Christmas, and I'm not so bad myself... its really a great game.
