Well would you look....here we are at the Palais Royal again!! Last year these wonderful evergreens were lined up along the arcade at the Palais Royal and at the
Café le Nemours on
Place Colette. I don't know about you, but after all the glitz and glitter everywhere else in Paris ( and the U.S.), I found these simple green trees a nice respite. A bit too chilly to sit outside, but I plan to have a sip here in janvier.

And the lamps are magnificent. The glow here is really pretty, V.
Je pense que ces sapins n'étaient pas encore décorés! J'aime bien quand ils sont illuminés!

I love this place -- so elegant.
In November, I visited the Palais Royale for the first time! It was a gorgeous morning, one of the few sunny days during our trip.
Or maybe they didn't want to compete with the colorful metro stop nearby. Wish I could join you for that sip!
What a lovely photo -- such a cozy place to be in the winter! Allie
You're right!!! Simple elegance!!!
Such a gorgeous cafe and even prettier at Christmas.. Lovely shot. Carla x
I would love to be there right now having a sip (as you put it) or two.
The lighting here is delightful.
Since you mentioned Nemours and it reminded me of my childhood, I thought you'd find this interesting: http://www.thebrandywine.com/attractions/nemours.html
I love the warm golden glow in this pic ~ tres elegante !

Love love love love love love love love love love the new banner photo! Utterly stunning.
I think the trees will give a refreshing view after those glittering lights ...
Nemours, as in du Pont de Nemours, who own half the state of Delaware... Nemours is just a short drive south of Paris. I spent a night there once, drove across the bridge a few times, le pont, and someone tried to steal our rental car at a hotel in Nemours, the night before we were flying back to the US, had to do a police report in the morning and almost missed our flight... memories of Nemours.
So did you go in there for a drink ?
And are things falling into place for another winter trip ? Hope all is well...
Those trees are amazing! I've only encountered a handful of REAL christmas trees; and none of them have been so wide and full.
Owen...we arrive on Jan 6...when can you come in for the day? We'll save you a seat on the terrace!
