Last January, as Mary and I walked through the new fallen snow to Place des Vosges. Ma Bourgogne had stacked up the chaises and outside seating was put on hold, even with the heaters. This sign made me smile. I don't think even Berthillon's delightful glaces et sorbets were selling that day.

Even this had-core Berthillon fan would't go for a yummy coupe in weather like this.
Un vin chaud, s'il vous plait!

You are getting very clever with the titles of this blog! Nice work.
Having only visited Paris in cold months, I have yet to try Berthillon. Perhaps next time I should suck it up and give it a go!
At least they don't melt and run down yer arm...
Non pas de glaces et sorbets....car il fait trop froid!
Il faut attendre le printemps pour manger une glace à la terrasse de Berthillon!
Love the stacked chairs and the new header photo ..
Any time pour une glace Berthillon
I'm with Laurent! I took a shot of these very photogenic chairs when I was there in February '05 (and ate Berthillon in the snow).
Perhaps we could sit inside to indulge???
Well, I was just there on Monday (last week) and we sat outside under the heaters. Of course, that was before the giant snowstorm blew in!
I'll take ice cream in any weather!
Bises,

Love this shot--and the banner one too.
But, how did they stack the chairs quite this high?
Probably looks like that again now ! And it's supposed to snow again at the end of this week...
I'm with Genie...ice cream any time.
