La Chanteuse III - The Métro

I regret that I always seem to be in a such hurry when in the Métro. There are usually musicians performing  and I always want to stop and have a listen. Since Métro musicians must audition for the permit to perform there, they are usually very good. I would have bought this singer's CD but alas, had to hurry on my way!

Hi Virginia,

I was impressed with all the performing and talented Artists about the City. It was great to stand and listen or watch whatever they were doing.
Great photograph and also love your new header, the lights are magnificent.

Happy weekend

I will show this post to a young man who did not understand why he was always chased away by police...

She must have quite an interesting story...
Did she sing any Edith Piaf?

Lovely portrait Virginia, she looks very intent on her singing, how amazing that you have to audition to sing in the metro, I have never heard of that before.

Very interesting post. When I was in Paris we were always impressed by the talent. I didn't know you had to audition!

Great shot. I like the black and white for this one. Her face reminds me of Edith Piaf for some reason. It looks as if she was singing a sad song... Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

Always learning something from your blog -- didn't know the musicians had to audition.

What kind of music was she singing?

Another great portrait, V! I didn't realize these folks have to audition—that explains a lot.
