Tour de Livres
The Paris Flea Market is THE place to go for wonderful old books. When I had a second look at this photo, I laughed as I imagined this scenario: "Bonjour Monsieur, may I see the book that is third from the bottom, s'il vous plait?" What do you think my chances would have been?

Vous êtes complètement folle, Madame!
Haha, great picture! If they weren`t all in French, I would love to work my way through from top to bottom (preferably). My daughetr is in Paris right now, hoping for a plane to leave to Africa, otherwise staying. Say hello if you meet her!
Veri word says apropoc, haha, almost!
Angela,
My hope is that your daughter will find a flight soon. although a long stay in Paris sounds very very nice!

Some version of tough luck.
This place looks like my kind of heaven.
I'd say your chances would be slim to none! Though I do love this photo. My work colleague is stuck in Paris right now, probably until Saturday. (Twice the work for me, but I'm secretly happy for him. Also envious!)
I`d love you to show my daughter around in Paris! You certainly have an eye for beautiful places!
What a fabulous tower of tomes, V ~ well found, and beautifully captured. Oooh, my wv is holit. A whole lot of literature!
Wow, so many books. I bet with your amazing charm V you could have sweet talked the seller into extracting the very bottom book of one of these stacks!
Oh V .. love this ...
I should have said what Katie said (but no reflection on you that I didn't—I've just spent too much time dealing with jaded flea-market vendors)!
I love this photo! The subject, the colour, the emotion it creates for me and just imagining what is all those books. Intiguing objects on the floor to the right and on top shelf.
Wonderful :)

Sometimes it is just the simple things in life that can bring us the greatest joy....
katie,
Merci, but I think Alexa's probably right. I wouldn't have gotten to first base! :)
Jeanne,Daryl, Amy, and Shell- I'm glad you liked it. I worried that it wouldn't be all that interesting to most.
The more I look at it, the more ROUGE LIVRES I spot!
Without knowing it, you've managed to show the interior of most Paris apartments. For people who claim to be against collecting "stuff", their apartments are always full of stuff they have no place to put except the floors.
Starman,
I've not been in many but there does seem to be a lot of floor space used ! ha They definitely do with less space if nothing else. I've been cleaning for two days for a party tomorrow and I'm ready to do with less space AND stuff!
Charming pic Ms V!!! You just might get to the bottom books easily enough as it looks like they all could topple within minutes!!!
Gorgeous. Actually I think had you asked he'd have slowly moved all the upper books for you!
