Paris waiters never stop. They are constantly in motion. I caught our very efficient and cordial waiter as we left this restaurant in Meudon.

Waiting in Paris - Ma Bourgogne

Mid afternoon, things get a little slow at the cafés.  Monsieur was killing time till the dinner guests started arriving at Ma Bourgogne.

Paris waiters keep long hours and I'm sure when the last patron leaves, they are ready to lock the doors for the night.

As we walked back to the Métro from a party late one evening, I took a quick shot of the chairs all lined up and as luck would have it...... a waiter walked out! I think this might be one of my favorites from this trip.

One a hot July day, this cheerful waiter served me lunch and as I watched, he greeted other patrons  outside with a smile.  About a block from Place des Vosges,  if memory serves.   I stopped by again,  late one afternoon for wine on the street again.  He took very good care of me.  Who says French waiters are snooty???

Mon serveur préféré

Ma Bourgogne was a familiar spot for me last summer. When I was alone, I sought this place on Place des Vosges with waiters that recognized me and made me feel welcome.  This was my favorite waiter. He had many talents!

BTW, I have one of these very special Ma Bourgogne glasses thanks to my dear blog friend Alexa, who sent me one from her last visit to Paris.

It seems to me that the waiters in Paris work really hard. They always seem to be rushing here and there. I like the movement in this one at Le Petit Marcel, near the Centre Pompidou.

This skillful waiter at Ma Bourgogne was a stranger the first day I arrived, but after that he took very good care of me whenever I stopped by for a glass of wine or dinner.

PS ... and he never dropped the first glass!

Smoke Break

A very common sight in Paris. This Bofinger waiter in the Bastille, was grabbing a few quick drags. Paris has banned smoking inside but outside, it's business as usual!
