How Grand...

to be young and spend a delightful summer afternoon playing games among the columns in the beautiful Gallery d'Orléans at the Palais Royal.  A very special day for all of us.

Mercredi ( Wednesday) at the Palais Royal

The children love Mercredi in Paris. There is no school!  Bless their hearts, they go to school till around  5:00 the rest of the week (and the older ones on Saturday mornings as well). They need a break! I ventured to the Palais Royal on a Wednesday afternoon. What I found was a photographer's feast! Small children ran around the fountains while this group of boys had a grand time playing a rowdy game of soccer and zipping in and out on their scooters,  seemingly oblivious to the wonderful art and architecture around them.
