Didier Ludot's window at the Palais Royal, is always a show stopper for me. Their collection of vintage couture is magnifique!

Today we begin another mini series, Window Shopping at the Palais Royal. Lêche-vitrine is the French for window shopping and literally translates to "lick the window"! The chi chi shops at the Palais Royal certainly have that effect on me!

Today, my favorite, Didier Ludot. Here you will find the most divine vintage couture items. The window always catches my eye.

Didier Ludot's boutique at the Palais Royal features vintage designer delights. I will admit that as often as I've pressed my nose and my lens against this window, I've never gathered enough courage to walk in. Maybe next time.

Didier Ludot, luxury consignment shop, is a window I never miss,  when at the Palais Royal. I've left many nose prints against their windows. What a delight to see the Diors, Chanels and so many more. Today, les chaussures de Chanel.

Interdit II - Didier Ludot

I've spent a good amount of time with my nose and lens pressed against the shop windows in Paris.  At night, they lower these gates making it even more difficult to drool over the vintage designer gowns at Didier Ludot.  Trip #9, and I've still not gathered the courage to walk in when they're open.  Je suis très desolé!

Look But Don't Touch!

Didier Ludot's vintage Pucci collection is quite safe!  Here at the Palais Royal and all over Paris, the shops  lock it up nice and tight at night.  I have always been fascinated by this because I probably feel safer in Paris at night than anywhere! Anyone have an opinion to share?

My blog amie Vicki Archer, author of My French Life and French Essence, also has a * blog délicieux for you Francophiles out there. Yesterday she told us all about Chanel's new faux tatoos. Well don't you worry, I'm not going there ( permanent or faux) at my age! She added that perhaps she would forgo them for a trés chic quilted Chanel handbag or bouclé jacket instead. I'm right behind you Vicki, and I know the place. Didier Ludot at the Palais Royal caught my eye EVERY time we strolled past it on the arcade. This is THE place to shop for vintage haute couture. Well take a look for yourself. I'll bet you can still see where I pressed my nose and fingers against the window. What would I buy if I COULD? Well that gorgeous crème gown with the big bow on the back for one. There's much more of course but there's this matter of euros.........
