Les branches

Travel to Paris during the winter months has forced me to see things in different ways as a photographer. I've gotten a lot of practice!  This remarkably sunny Sunday morning, showed me another view of the Seine.

Les fleurs et les chaînes

Continuing our walk around Cimetière Père Lachaise, the beautiful porcelain flowers with the delicate moss.

Le Docteur

Cimetière Père-Lachaise

Does the name Auguste Moog seem familiar? Of course it does.  Docteur Moog wrote the wildly successful Les eliminations urinaires dans le néphrites subaigües,  in 1903.  I was a little disappointed as I had hoped he'd written on the subject of mustaches.

Trop de cadenas!

Spotted on the Pont des Arts, these petits garçons didn't seem to know what to think about all these locks of love!

Oh là là !

Located just a stone's throw from the Louvre, Chantal Thomass is a divine little shop filled to the brim with Parisian unmentionables.  Have a look at their delightful window. I'm  sure this window stops traffic on a daily basis.

Looks like a parapluie might be in order!

Le Même

I approached mother and daughter sitting outside one of our favorite cafés near our apartment. It was just when I downloaded the photos that I realized that they were in sync!

L'homme et son chien

Palais Royal

This next trip,  I might just sit myself there for an hour or so and just photograph to my heart's content. That would make me very happy.

The street musicians around Place des Vosges are remarkable. Actually, I've photographed this harpist on two visits.

Promener les chiens

Maybe this Sunday afternoon les chiens were headed for the Louvre.  Very lucky pups!

Le Détail

Leaving the charming village of Marly le Roi, I spotted these small
iron figures on the wall, for fastening the shutters.

Cinq Poêles

E. Dehillerin, depuis 1820, has everything a cook/chef  could want.  If they don't have it, you probably don't need it! This amazing shop,  filled to the ceiling with cooking utensils and an extensive inventory of copper cookware is a store that everyone needs to experience at least once.

Cave La Bourgogne

This café at the foot of rue Mouffetard seems to be a place we always return to for a good meal at a good price.  This night, as we said farewell to friends, I turned and took a parting shot.  Fond memories of many meals shared here.

One of my favorite places in Paris. How many of you can guess?

Trop de marches

I love Montmartre but the steps take a little of the fun out of it!

Oh that I could trade in my gray Hyundai for this!

Square du Vert Galant

I think Mary used the term "stalking".  I prefer "observant."

The Doorman

The Four Seasons George V is not a place where I hang out when in Paris, but last January I was fortunate to have an appointment to photograph their stunning floral arrangements.  Just walking up to the hotel was a thrill. The doormen are even dressed to the nines!
