Not This Weekend

With the severe flooding in Paris this week, Parisians won't be relaxing along the quai any time soon.

For the past two Novembers I arrived to find Paris bursting with golds and yellows. This year, due to the warmer temps, most of the leaves had fallen, although a few hung around for my camera. Merci chers arbres.

I don't know that I've purchased a book here but have found some lovely vintage prints for myself and gifts for family and friends. Always worth a slow stroll.

Ahhh the good life in Paris. You stroll along the quay, stop in the shade of the trees and have a little picnic beside the Seine. Imagine my horror when I peered over the wall and spotted this couple... manger un sac de McDonald's! The city of Paris should arrest these people! For what they paid (see prices below) they could have had some nice cheese, a warm baguette and shared a lovely bottle of wine. McDonald's à Paris, une honte!!!

An Afternoon Along the Seine

This next trip I'm going to really try and do less sightseeing and find more time to just sit and relax and just BE in Paris. This looks like a good place to start. An afternoon just enjoying a glass of wine, maybe a baguette et fromage along the banks of the Seine. Who knows, maybe I'll meet some nice new friends here.
