Dans les airs

Just across the bridge from la Tour Eiffel, this charming carrousel continues to delight not just children, but adults as well.

My French Life is featuring some of my Paris carrousel photographs this month right here!

Très jolie, cette montgolfière, V. That is one classy merry-go-round! I love all the details and colors. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

What a beautiful carrousel, Virginia! I would love to take a ride on it.

My name is Riet said...

I was figuring out what it was a balloon or a lightbulb but just a carroussel. :)))

I think it's a balloon, although it sure does look like a bulb!

I have that Ballooning Over Paris print (I'm sure you've seen it somewhere) and I've hung minature old fashioned hot air balloons in front of it for effect. I was even able to find a replica of the first hot air balloon that flew over Paris from Dept 56. This was ages ago!

There is a place somewhere just outside of Paris where you can see (and if you're lucky actually ride) hot air balloons.

Love the way the light makes the colors so vibrant in this photo.

Parisian carousels seem to be so fresh and blemishfree. Ours are kind of worn. Very fine photo, again, Virginia.

Oh this makes me want to jump up and down and clap my hands with glee like a four year old girl. But since i'm sort of on the 'matrure' side, lol, i'll just squeal with delight on the inside! Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Easy to be young at heart when i see there are things like this in our world! I'm having a ball catching up on your blog. :)!
