With a Fine Toothed Comb!

Ahhh, the French attention to detail.  While enjoying the lovely Jardin des Plantes we found this employee hard at work scrubbing this piece with what appeared to be a toothbrush!

You should go back and look for him next time you are in Paris... he must still be at it, if a toothbrush is all he is using to clean that big thing! ;-) Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

He's done a great job so far!

I am sure it was an expensive, special item sold only to art restoration services .. ;-)

simply too crazy and wild for this time and age !!
on the other hand, it might explain something about the French system ;-) (o avoid all misunderstanding, this is meant to be taken as a very friendly remark)

The versatile toothbrush has many uses and to echo Louise, he has done a great job so far. One can't argue with a job well done. Love seeing all the evergreens as the backdrop for this lovely monument.

Well on closer inspection Virginia, I would say you just might be right, even close up it looks very much like a toothbrush, how funny!! Happy weekend.

It's nice that such things are cleaned. Good work Paris at doing things like that!

Today what draws my attention the most is the collection of towers and candles in the header, great shot!
God bless you!

By the time he gets all the way around, he'll be ready for retirement.

Happy New Year Madame!!!

I´m sharing with you something my friend Tasha wrote in a card.

In This House:

We do second chances
We do grace
We do real
We do mistakes
We do I'm sorry
We do hugs
We do family
We do love

Paris is getting reddish for you!
Don´t forget to look up at night-your Paris star will be shining and winking at you!

Luv,
Maria

Oh Maria, what lovely advice for us all.

I'll carry you all with me to Paris and try and capture anything and everything that catches my eye so we can savor Paris for another year!!!

Lovely. I've seen the power washing but a toothbrush! I want him to come to my house.
I finally went to the Jardin des Plantes last trip but just to the zoo. I hope to see the rest of it in March when I go back.

Have a wonderful time this trip. Perhaps one of these times we'll be there at the same time. :-)
