Why is it that everything in Paris is so beautiful, although I have to say that's rather a grumpy face guarding the window haha!

1870... This beautiful building must have been built during the "great Paris remodel" undertaken by Napoleon III and his faithful wingman, le Baron Haussmann. Great photo Virginia. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

Love the little opening under the actual window. I even like the face on the "gardien"—il boude as only a French person can. Wish I could live at numéro 42. (wherever it is!)
