I've been saving a small group of photos from this belt shop in the Marais since June, 2010. I love the small specialty shops I find in Paris. The craftsmanship is remarkable and made and displayed with such care.
Losco carries only handcrafted leather belts and buckles. Today my archive photo. What I didn't realize was that I had piqued someone's curiosity!
I think it might be nice to keep this group of photographs together in a series, so come back tomorrow to have a look at his workbench.

The way this man is looking at you...!i can't see if he's inside the shop or in the reflection. I'd say inside of the shop. It's a great find from your files!

Great shot with the look from what I guess is "the craftsman"? The mixture of reflection with the transparency of the glass is fab.

Monsieur giving me the once over was not the owner of the shop, but a shopper I think. You'd think the Parisians would be use to me snapping photos by now!

It is not a surprise that you didnt notice him noticing you .. I find when I am focusing I only see whats right there in the viewfinder .. I am always surprised when I download photos to see other and sometimes more interesting things captured than expected
Was that before or after you took the interior shots?
Starman, I really have forgotten. Sometimes the archives shot is an afterthought, most times I forget to do it completely!

Yup, he caught you for sure, V. :~} What impresses me is that these artisanal shops manage to stay in business in a big city. I guess it helps if everyone isn't shopping at Walmart!

'Losco' is the Italian for shady, seedy. Not a great name for such a nice shop...
The man adds something to this picture. I'm a fan of street photography and I count this as an example.
