Leaving Stones

In keeping with the Jewish tradition of leaving a stone on the gravestone as a way to honor that person with their visit.

Is that what Bob Dylan meant when he said "Everybody must get..." wait, probably not.

I like that idea Virginia, I might just leave a little something with Mum and Dad next time, even though we're not Jewish it's such a real way to show that you've been!

An 'interesting' tradition.

This tradition seems to be migrating to other religions. My Irish uncle was buried a month ago and several people placed stones on his grave. It seemed very appropriate. I might start doing it myself.

A very touching tradition. Small gestures, large meanings...

Cela semble de plus en plus pratiqué, même pour les non juifs, je ne sais pas pourquoi.
