Les Américains fou
Our first trip to Paris, we entered Tuileries and immediately these enthusiastic tourists caught my eye and my Eva's as well. She seemed a bit puzzled as to why grown men would pose with a statue such as this. I decided to pass on that explanation! A while later she picked her own statue and asked me to take her picture with it. Peter has done extensive posting of all the statues in the gardens here and if you look closely you will find our Eva on his blog as well !

These sculptures would have been banned before it is put up in our country ... So much freedom in yours, That is nice !
The statues in Paris are just off the scale - I'm just back and still buzzing. xxxxx
Hehe, I found Eva on Peter's blog! Americans are not the only ones to do that!I'm the first one to do it when I'm in a place where nobody knows me! :o))
The statues seem to invite us to them and we always seem to comply. Fun

Hey - that guy in the top photo is blocking my view!
Zut!
Your Eva is adorable! What a joy to see Paris through the eyes of a child! Bon weekend and Joyeux Anniversaire a toi! Bisous ...
The sculptures ...... :)
THERE SHE IS! I am waiting for my MAILERS TO COME IN DEAREST and off she will go to you...Anita
Love your pix today. Statues like this just beg for people to interact with them. (Cute little girl.)
Joyeux anniversaire, ma chère amie! Love Eva's little hat and perfectly shown in b/w... she has grown so much now.
I will join in with 'joyeux anniversaire'! This is such a fun post. Hope you'll be doing something fun today, too!
I must confess to a little 'interaction' with statues myself Virginia haha! Eva is adorable!
I've never understood why people have to climb, sit, touch the art.
Inévitable!... Lorsque certaines des statues de Fernando Botero étaient exposées dans la ville de Saint-Tropez, la foule ne pouvait éviter de se prendre en photo devant...
Gros bisous
Bon Anniversaire!!!
LOL, my wife has a few pictures of her and her friends playing around with statues here, too. It's one way to interact with art!
Starman, I confess I am a "toucher", when it's permissible of course. I love the feel of sculpture and can hardly resist!
Martinealison, HA, we have a large Botero lady here in B'ham at our museum. I watched a museum employee washing her once. Here on my B'ham blog:http://birminghamalabamadailyphoto.blogspot.com/2009/10/getting-buffed-at-bma.html
Yeah, hard to resist. I have a shot of the ex with one of those wonderful statues—though mine of him is almost as dignified as yours of Eva. Almost. Love that Peter included her in his Tuileries gallery. Bon dimanche, V!
Thanks for your reference to my blog, which reminds me about the fruitful discussion we had about the "Nobodys friend"! Thanks again, dear friend! :-)
Peter, Mon plaisir! Always happy to link to your blog as I get most of research information from yours! And yes, we both did some digging for that information and the sculptor ended up being Swedish! :)
Alexa, I'm LOL thinking about your ex's "portrait"!
Diane, welcome home.
Paul, Girls just want to have fun, oui? :)
Merci beaucoup amis for the birthday wishes.
